The history of our academy
The Russian Academy of Dance and Arts in Rabat was founded in 2019. From the very beginning, its mission has been much more than teaching the arts: we are committed to developing children's cultural awareness, instilling discipline, aesthetic taste, and respect for traditions.
Today, our academy is a place where classical dance, painting, and music are taught at a high level. We combine the traditions of the Russian academic school with modern methods, creating a unique space for children's artistic and cultural development.
Our management
The Academy was founded and is directed by Maria Davydova Ach-Charkaoui, an experienced teacher. Her professional career in Morocco began at the Russian Cultural Center in Rabat, where she taught dance for over 20 years. Mastering all aspects of artistic teaching, she has established a pedagogical system combining the rigor of classical school, an individualized approach, and an inspiring atmosphere.
Our teaching methods
We apply proven methods adapted to current needs:
• In classical dance – our teaching follows the tradition of the Russian school, with particular attention to technique, posture, and musicality.
• In painting – children learn the basics of composition and color harmony and explore different artistic techniques, thus developing their creative thinking.
• In music – our classes combine theory and practice to develop a musical ear, a sense of rhythm, and performance skills.
• Instruction is structured by age and level, ensuring progressive and effective learning.
